Young man injured in crash on I-270 westbound in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A 19-year-old man was injured late Monday night in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 270 westbound in St. Louis, according to a crash report by Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened west of Riverview Drive and was reported at 11:20 p.m.

The man was driving a 1993 Dodge Ram westbound along I-270 when he attempted to change lanes and overcorrected the vehicle while trying to avoid hitting another car. The Dodge Ram then traveled off to the left of the roadway, striking the cable barrier.

The driver was taken to Christian Hospital Northeast with minor injuries.
