Woman seriously injured in I-270 rollover crash

ST. LOUIS, MO – A woman was seriously injured Saturday night in a rollover crash on Interstate 270 after losing control of her vehicle, according to a crash report published by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident happened just before 11 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-270, near Old Halls Ferry Road, when 49-year-old Vanessa Williams, of St. Louis, lost control of her vehicle, a 2008 Saturn Vue.

Williams traveled across all lanes of traffic and collided with a concrete wall. After hitting the concrete, the Saturn flipped over, landing off the right side of the highway.

Williams was taken to Barnes-Jewish Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries. She was wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.

There are no other injuries reported.

The Saturn was totaled in the crash.
