Woman injured in single-car crash on US-36 near Callao

MACON COUNTY, MO — A 40-year-old Marceline woman was injured early Friday morning in a single-car accident on US Route 36 near Callao, according to a crash report by Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Authorities responded to the scene on US-36 eastbound one miles east of Callao in Macon County at around 6:30 a.m.

The woman was driving eastbound in a 2019 Nissan Sentra when her vehicle began sliding along the wet roadway and hit a guardrail, causing the vehicle to run off the north side of the roadway before coming to rest.

The Marceline resident was transported by ambulance to Samaritan Hospital in Macon with moderate injuries.
