Woman injured in I-270 NB crash near southwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A 62-year-old woman was injured Thursday evening in a single-car collision on Interstate 270 in southwest St. Louis, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-270 south of Missouri Route 21 at around 6:30 p.m.

The woman was at the wheel of a 2021 Kia Sportage going northbound when she attempted to change one lane over and lost control of her vehicle. Crews with Mehville Fire Protection District transported the woman to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with minor injuries.

Her vehicle received extensive damages and was towed from the scene.
