Woman injured in I-270 NB crash near southwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A 62-year-old woman was injured Thursday evening in a single-car collision on Interstate 270 in southwest St. Louis, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-270 south of Missouri Route 21 at around 6:30 p.m.

The woman was at the wheel of a 2021 Kia Sportage going northbound when she attempted to change one lane over and lost control of her vehicle. The car skidded and ran off the right edge of the road, causing the front right of the car to hit a street light support. The car then rotated and overturned.
