Woman hospitalized after head-on collision in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – A woman from Pevely was seriously injured as the result of a head-on collision on Highway Z Monday evening.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at about 6:23 p.m. near the intersection of Highway z and Victory Drive.

Investigators say 49-year-old Angela Sansouchie was behind the wheel of a 1992 Buick LaSabre when she drifted into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2018 Dodge Ram and was forced into a utility pole.

Sansouchie was rushed to Mercy Hospital St. Louis to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.
