Woman arrested after St. Louis police pull her, 2 children from flaming car after pursuit

ST. LOUIS, MO –  A 27-year-old mother was arrested following a police chase and crash involving two children Tuesday morning.

According to KSDK, Police attempted to pull the woman over for driving recklessly on I-55 at about 10:00 a.m. when she took off. The pursuit lasted several miles until she struck the Anheuser-Busch building near the intersection of South Broadway and Arsenal Street.

Police acted quickly when the vehicle caught fire pulling the woman and two toddlers from the blaze.

The woman is facing a number of charges including DWI and unlawful possession of a firearm.

No information regarding the conditions of the children involved has been released.
