Vehicle hits embankment in police chase

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car crash on US-67 left one woman injured after her car hit an embankment. The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. Monday near Cash lane.

The accident occurred after the driver of a Chevrolet 1500 tried to evade police in pursuit and lost control of her vehicle. The Chevrolet swerved off the side of the road and hit an embankment. 

The driver sustained moderate injures and was transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
