Two-vehicle crash injures one in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – A woman was injured in a multi-vehicle crash that took place in Franklin County Friday morning, according to MSHP.

Troopers were dispatched to US Highway 50 and Old Highway 50 at 8 a.m. Friday morning. According to law enforcement, a Ford F 150 driven by Emmylou K. Hoffman, 24, rear-ended a 2017 Ford Escape driven by Brenda G. Humphrey, 60, that was stopped at traffic because she was temporarily blinded by the sun.

Both vehicles sustained extensive damage. Humphrey was hospitalized with minor injuries at Mercy Hospital Washington.

Hoffman was not injured nor was she wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
