Two people sustained injuries after driver failed to yield

WEST ALTON, MO – A 68-year-old female driver of a 2015 Ford Focus failed to yield to a 2012 Dodge Avenger resulting in a crash on Highway 67 on Tuesday evening.

Police report the crash occurred on northbound Highway 67 at Red School Road around 7:40 p.m.

The 68-year-old driver was identified as Janet Ellis. She was traveling eastbound on Red School Road when she failed to yield to the Dodge that was traveling northbound on Highway 67.

Two people in the Avenger were transported to Christian Hospital Northeast. One was the driver, identified as 19-year-old Robert Snyders, and the other a passenger who was identified as 27-year-old Jeremy Fudge.
