Two people injured in Jefferson County intersection accident

FESTUS, MO – Two people were injured in a single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway A and Morgan Road on Saturday evening.

Police report Robert H. Dittmaier, 79, was traveling west on Highway A around 5:23 p.m. when his 2013 Ford F-250 went off the right side of the road. The Ford traveled across Morgan Road and hit a tree.

Both Dittmaier and his passenger, 78-year-old Joan M. Dittmaier, were transported to Mercy Hospital South for moderate injuries. They were both wearing seat belts.

The Ford sustained moderate damages.
