Two people injured in eastbound Missouri 30 accident

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – Two people were injured in a head-on collision on eastbound Missouri 30 on Tuesday morning.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Lea M. Tourville, 57, was traveling west on Missouri 30 in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD when she traveled into the eastbound lanes. The Chevrolet hit a 2016 Nissan Altima, driven by 21-year-old Shannon N. Menees, head-on around 8:20 a.m.

Both drivers were transported to Mercy Hospital South for injuries. Tourville, of Sullivan, sustained serious injuries and was not wearing a seat belt. Menees, of Richwoods, sustained moderate injuries and was wearing a seat belt.

Police report both vehicles were totaled.
