DES PERES, MO (ST. LOUIS COUNTY) – Two people from Illinois were killed when their vehicle was struck by a man who was allegedly driving in a reckless manner on I-270 late last night.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred in Des Peres, on southbound I-270, near Manchester Road, at around 11:20 p.m., as 25-year-old St. Louis man Justin T. Eberle was driving his 2016 Kia Optima in a reportedly careless fashion.

The Optima collided with a 2011 Chrysler Town and Country, driven by 33-year-old Natalia G. Trigg, of Collinsville, Illinois. The Chrysler was pushed off the side of the road, where it crashed into a tree.

Trigg and her passenger, 39-year-old Henry C. Gaston, also of Collinsville, were pronounced dead at 11:25 p.m.

Eberle was not reported as injured.
