Train derailment partially closes Highway WW

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MO – A train derailed in New Florence Sunday morning caused traffic adjustments in the area, KY3 reports.

Investigators say the accident occurred at 7:25 a.m. on Highway WW. No hazardous materials were involved and no one was injured in the accident.

The cause of the derailment is unknown.

The Montgomery Sheriff’s Office suggested drivers in the area leave New Florence by way of Sunbeam Road or Hudson Road to Ellis Road.
