Three injured in two-car crash on MO-47 in Washington County

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MO — An infant, a teenager, and a woman were injured Wednesday afternoon in a two-car collision on Missouri Route 47 near Richwoods, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at the intersection of Highway H at around 3:37 p.m.

A 28-year-old De Soto man was at the wheel of a 2020 Ford Fusion going southbound when he failed to yield to a 2010 Chevrolet Silverado while attempting a left turn. The Fusion hit the front of the Silverado, causing the Silverado to overturn and run off the edge of the road.

The driver of the Silverado, a 37-year-old Ellsinore woman, was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with minor injuries. Two of her passengers, a one-year-old infant and a 15-year-old girl, were also taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson with minor injuries.

The driver of the Fusion was not reported injured.

Both vehicles were totaled in the accident and towed from the scene.
