LINCOLN COUNTY, MO – Three people were injured in a five-vehicle accident Friday afternoon on Missouri Highway 47 in Troy, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. on MO-47, east of the Cuivre River Bridge when a 2017 Dodge Challenger driven by 19-year-old Natalie N. Irwin, of Foley, rear-ended a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix that was stopped for traffic, as was a 2013 Ford F150. The Pontiac, driven by Moscow Mills woman Beatrice E. Rayburn, 55, then was pushed into the Ford, driven by 49-year-old Jeffery C. Gober, of Troy.

The Dodge then continued over the center line and into oncoming traffic, where it hit a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by an unnamed 16-year-old girl from Troy, and a 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, which was being driven by Winfield woman Kelly C. Hicks, 36. The Dodge then crashed into a guardrail.

Irwin received minor injuries, as did a passenger in her vehicle, 20-year-old Kiara N. Knox, also of Foley. Both were taken to the hospital for treatment. Neither of them was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Rayburn also received minor injuries and was transported to the hospital. She and the other three drivers were wearing listed as wearing their seatbelts.
