Speeding driver dies in crash on westbound I-70

ST. LOUIS, MO – A man died after crashing into a guardrail and highway sign on westbound I-70 late Sunday night.

According to KMOV4 News, a male driver was speeding on westbound I-70 in a red Chevrolet Camero and lost control of the car at Cass Avenue around 11:30 p.m. He hit a guardrail and highway sign.

The driver was ejected from the car. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene. It is unclear if he was wearing his seat belt or not.

Police closed the interstate for several hours to investigate and clean up the crash.
