Semi driver injured in southbound I-55 accident

STE. GENEVIEVE COUNTY, MO – A 44-year-old semi driver was injured in an accident on southbound I-55 on Wednesday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Courtney L. Harris was traveling north on southbound I-55 in a semi when he lost control of the truck. It crashed into the median barrier at mile marker 157 and overturned around 6:35 p.m.

Harris was transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

The semi was totaled.
