ROUTE OO head-on collision kills one and seriously injures another

ST. FRANCOIS COUNTY, MO – One person was killed and another was seriously injured Saturday in a head-on collision on Route OO, southeast of Farmington.

According to a report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 71-year-old Sandra Gallagher was driving south on Route OO shortly before 4:45 p.m., when her 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe drifted into the northbound lanes near Coffman Road. The SUV struck a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu head-on, totaling both vehicles.

Randall Harris, the 39-year-old driver of the Malibu, was pronounced dead at the scene. Gallagher was taken by helicopter to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.
