Police on the scene of collision along I-270 in northeast St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO – An early-morning crash causes delays along I-270 northwest of downtown St. Louis on Monday.

According to a tweet by Missouri DoT, the accident occurred sometime before 8 a.m. in the northbound lanes of I-170, past the I-55 interchange.

The circumstances leading up to the crash are unclear. However, no injuries have been reported as an immediate result.

Commuters were faced with delays in the area while emergency crews worked to clear the scene. All lanes were reopened by 8:06 a.m.
