Pedestrian in serious condition following St. Charles hit-and-run

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, MO – A man from Wentzville was hospitalized in serious condition after being struck by a vehicle that immediately fled the scene in St. Charles Tuesday night.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened when 52-year-old Jeffrey Venice was struck by an unknown vehicle while walking in the northbound lanes of Highway T just before 8:40 p.m.

Venice was rushed to Mercy Hospital St. Louis to be treated for serious injuries sustained in the crash.

Police have not released any identifying information on the driver or vehicle involved at this time.
