One person injured when emergency vehicle crashes on US-61

MOSCOW MILLS, MO – A 24-year-old Moscow Mills driver was injured when his vehicle, with emergency equipment activated, crashed on southbound US-61 on Saturday morning.

Police report Mark A. Porter was responding to a call with the emergency equipment activated on his 2018 Ford Explorer when the vehicle begin sliding on southbound US-61. The Ford traveled off the highway and overturned at Raceway Park Drive around 6:13 a.m.

Porter was transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Lake St. Louis for minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.

The Ford sustained extensive damages.
