Motorcyclist injured in collision at Florissant and Champlin

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO — A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday after abruptly stopping their vehicle, causing it to collide with a second vehicle on Florissant Avenue, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reports.

The accident happened at 11:41 p.m. near Champlin Drive when a 2005 Suzuki was cut off by 2011 Chevrolet Malibu while traveling northbound. The motorcyclist braked to avoid the vehicle and ran her motorcycle into the ground, which skidded into the left side of the Malibu. 

Officials identified the motorcyclist as 43-year-old Rhonda Hoskin. Hoskin was transported to Barnes Jewish Hospital with serious injuries.
