Motorcyclist falls to death from I-64 overpass

ST. LOUIS, MO – A motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle and fell to his death in downtown St. Louis on Saturday, KSDK reports.

St. Louis Police were called to the scene of a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on eastbound I-64 near 11th Street early that morning. They found the crashed bike but could find no trace of its rider. However, they were able to trace the vehicle’s registration to Barry Light, a 32-year-old resident of Pevely.

Officers went to Light’s residence and alerted his family to the issue while the motorcycle was impounded. The family was able to trace Light’s phone to the area of 16th and Poplar Streets. Light’s body was discovered in a lot behind a Greyhound station at about 5:45 a.m.

Investigators believe that Light fell off the motorcycle on I-64 at 16th Street. The motorcycle continued riderless for five blocks before it crashed near 11th Street.
