Man seriously injured in motorcycle crash on Hwy E in Franklin County

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO — A 63-year-old suffered serious injuries Saturday night after his motorcycle overturned in a single-vehicle crash on Highway E in New Haven, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of Highway E west of Stone Church Road at around 8:30 p.m.

The man was driving a 2006 Harley-Davidson FLHP1 motorcycle eastbound when his vehicle veered off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

The rider was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries. His condition has not been disclosed. He was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash, according to the MSHP crash report.

The Harley-Davidson sustained minor damages and was taken from the scene via a private conveyance.

The cause of the crash was not immediately clear.
