Man injured during head-on collision with truck in Festus

FESTUS, MO – A driver was injured during a wrong-way crash on Highway A in Jefferson County yesterday evening, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred on Highway A, west of Glen Oaks Drive, at 6:47 p.m., when 46-year-old Festus man Timothy J. Turnbo, operating a 2008 Chevrolet Impala, crossed over the center line and into the lane of oncoming traffic.

The Impala collided with the front of a 2012 Rosenbauer America Municipal truck. The Impala then rolled over the side of the highway an unspecified number of times.

Turnbo, who was reportedly not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was taken to the hospital for the treatment of moderate injuries.

38-year-old Festus man Robert C. Aubuchon, who was operating the Rosenbauer truck, was not reported as injured. He was wearing a seatbelt when the accident occurred.
