Man dies from injuries in St. Louis crash on Interstate 270

ST. LOUIS, MO – A 47-year-old man passed away Friday due to injuries he received in a crash on I-270 Wednesday night.

According to St. Louis Post-Dispatch, the crash occurred on northbound I-270 north of Clayton Road at around 10:30 p.m.

Mauricio Amore Ferreira was transported to Mercy St. Louis with life-threatening injuries, and passed away on Friday. Another passenger in Ferreira’s 2015 Mercedes was seriously injured.

The collision occurred while Ferreira was attempting to switch lanes and collided with a 2016 Kia Optima.
