AUGUSTA, MO (ST. CHARLES COUNTY) – A woman from Jefferson City died Friday afternoon in a single-motorcycle collision on Highway 94, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The crash happened in the eastbound lanes of the highway, near Montelle Drive and near Klondike Park, at 12:15 p.m. when a 2004 Harley-Davidson Fatboy motorcycle ran off the right side of the road.
The motorcycle, operated by 62-year-old Nancy L. Hoerschgen, of Jefferson City, then collided with a guardrail, causing extensive damage to the bike.
Hoerschgen died at the scene of the collision. She was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
No other people were involved in the accident.
