Injuries reported in Moscow Mills police chase crash

MOSCOW MILLS, MO – One person has been hospitalized after finding themselves in the middle of a police pursuit that ended in a collision Friday afternoon.

According to an official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred within the northbound lanes of Route 61 near Himmel Road shortly after 3:00 p.m.

The driver of a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado was attempted to evade a Troy police officer by traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of US 61 when they struck a 2004 Ford Explorer traveling northbound.

The driver of the Explorer, 34-year-old Darryl Shamble was transported by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Lincoln to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash
