Driver injured in head-on crash in Cadet

CADET, MO – A man was injured on a highway in Washington County yesterday when a vehicle crossed into his lane and slammed head-on into his vehicle, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.

The incident happened on MO-47 east of Roderick Road/Route 420, when a Ford Fusion driven by 21-year-old Cole Thompson crossed the center line and collided with a 1998 Ford F-150.

Keith Sloan, the Ford’s 41-year-old driver, was hurt in the crash, and taken to Mercy Hospital South with moderate injuries. Thompson was unhurt.

Both vehicles were totaled.
