Driver injured after hitting a tree

LINCOLN COUNTY, MO – According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, one individual sustained minor injuries after veering off the road and hitting a tree Thursday afternoon on Highway KK near Our Lane.

Officials say the driver of a 2017 Nissan Altima was distracted and veered off the road. The Nissan went through a driveway, corrected, but then drove off the opposite side of the road and hit a tree. 

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 46-year-old Loretta Harrison. 

Emergency vehicles transported Harrison to Mercy Hospital Lincoln. 

The cause of distraction in this accident is unknown.
