Driver airlifted to hospital after De Soto crash

DE SOTO, MO – A 25-year-old female driver lost control of her 2008 Chevrolet HHR in a curve on Flucom Road and struck a tree on Thursday night.

The crash occurred on westbound Flucom Road east of Tracy Lane around 11:18 p.m., according to police reports. Emma Whitehead was traveling westbound on Flucom Road when she lost control of the Chevrolet in a curve. She traveled off the left side of the road and struck a tree.

Whitehead was airlifted to Mercy Hospital St. Louis for serious injuries. Her current condition is unknown. The Chevrolet was totaled in the crash.
