De Soto driver fails to yield causes two-vehicle crash on Highway 67

DE SOTO, MO – A 56-year-old driver failed to yield and crashed into a 2002 Saturn SL2 on southbound Highway 67 on Friday morning.

Police report Sheila K. Poncet was traveling southbound on Highway 67 south of Flucom Road in a 2003 Chevrolet C5 Bus when she failed to yield and hit the Saturn. The crash occurred around 6:35 a.m.

Poncet was transported to Mercy Hospital Jefferson for minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

Stacy M. Yeager, 42, was not wearing a seat belt.

Both vehicles were totaled.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
