Dairy Farmers Forced to Dump Milk due to PFAS Contamination

A dairy cow feeds in a pasture. A Maine couple were forced to dump their milk supply due to PFAS contamination caused by sludge fertilizer.

For many years, sludge was believed to be a safe alternative to chemical fertilizers. However, we know now that it can contain toxic levels of “forever chemicals.”
