Crash shuts down two lanes on I-170 NB in northwest St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle accident Tuesday afternoon closed two right lanes on Interstate 170 northbound in northwest St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The incident occurred in the northbound lanes of I-170 south of St. Charles Rock Road, also known as state Route 180. It was first reported at 2:29 p.m.

MoDOT initially instructed motorists to use the center lane of the highway before reporting the two lane closures several minutes later.

The scene was projected to clear at 3:16 p.m. but cleared early at 3:05 p.m.
