Crash kills 1, injures another on Hwy 67 near Richard Dr

WEST ALTON, MO – A crash Sunday on Hwy 67 claimed the life of a woman and sent a teen to the hospital, KSDK reports.

Shelly Connor, 55, was driving a Toyota Highlander on Hwy 67 when she left the road near Richard Dr and slammed into a tree.

Dispatchers sent first responders to the scene of the accident around 6:50 p.m. They transported Connor to a hospital, where she later died.

Connor’s passenger, a 15-year-old girl, was hospitalized with severe injuries. It is unclear if she is related to Connor.
