Collision closes two lanes on I-44 EB in west St. Louis

ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle accident Thursday morning shut down two right lanes on Interstate 44 eastbound in west St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.


The crash impacted the eastbound lanes of I-44 east of Jamieson Avenue near the Lindenwood Park neighborhood and was first reported by MoDOT STL at 8:30 a.m.

The scene was initially expected to clear at 9:20 a.m.

At 8:40 a.m., only one right lane was reported closed, suggesting the other right lane had reopened.

At 9:55 a.m., the scene was reported to have moved to the right shoulder, and the clearance time was updated to 10:05 a.m., suggesting a significant crash and response effort.
