ST. LOUIS, MO — A vehicle accident Monday afternoon closed the right lane on Interstate 44 eastbound near downtown St. Louis, according to MoDOT STL Traffic.

The crash occurred on the stretch of I-44 eastbound before the merge to Interstate 64 and was first reported at 3:44 p.m.
MoDOT STL projected the scene would clear almost an hour later at 4:39 p.m.
