Catawissa man injured in rear-end crash on northbound US-61

IMPERIAL, MO – A 52-year-old Catawissa man was injured in a rear-end crash on northbound US-61 on Friday night.

Robert A. Gray, 48, was stopped in traffic on northbound US-61 south of River Dale Drive in a 1996 Chevrolet 1500, police report. Dawn M. Charney, 36, failed to slow down in time and rear-ended the Chevrolet truck in her 2018 Chevrolet Cruze. The accident happened at 6:40 p.m.

Teresa C. Gray, an occupant in the Chevrolet truck, was transported to Mercy Hospital South for minor injuries. She was wearing a seat belt.

Both drivers were wearing a seat belt.

The Chevrolet truck sustained moderate damages and the Cruze sustained extensive damages.
