ST. ANN, MO – A driver and a passenger are in police custody on Tuesday after they hit and injured a police officer with their truck.

Two men were driving their truck on St. Charles Rock Road on the night of June 2, when they crashed their vehicle. The truck first hit another car on the road and then crashed into a police officer who was working near the street.

The injured police officer was taken to the hospital for treatment, but Fox 2 Now reports that the officer’s injuries were non-life-threatening.

Police officers are still investigating the cause of the accident, at this time. However, other officers on the scene took the two men into custody. There is no information about whether or not these men will face charges for the accident.
