Hampton Bay, Patriot Lighting, and Paradise light kits with power supplied by Sterno Home LED have been recalled due to a plug defect that poses the potential for electric shock. The recall was initiated by the manufacturer, Sterno Home, Inc., which is based in Canada.
Approximately 77,000 Patriot Light Kits, Model 3434114, sold at U.S. Home Depot and other hardware stores, both in brick-and-mortar stores and online, between March 2017 and May 2020. The kits sold for $50 and $100 each.
The manufacturer received one report of a light kit’s power supply plug blade breaking off in a power outlet. This poses a risk of electric shock.
Anyone who purchased the path lights is asked to call Sterno Home at 888-867-6095 or email the company at customerservice@sternohome.com, or visit sternohome.com/recalls for a free replacement power supply and instructions on how to use it.
