Mount Vernon – Injuries In Highway Accident

A motorist was injured in a highway incident in Mount Vernon Thursday last week.

At around 5:15 a.m., 64-year-old Roger L. Blevins was driving on State Highway 96 when his pickup truck was struck by a tow hook about three miles east of Miller. Blevins sustained injuries and was taken to Cox Medical Center South for treatment. It’s not yet clear if the tow strap came from Blevins’ truck or from another vehicle. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.

Many road accidents are caused by reckless or negligent behavior, so these factors are always considered by investigators. Needless to say, injuries caused by negligence should allow aggrieved parties to pursue legal claims against liable individuals. Personal injury experts can help victims understand this process and how to best pursue available options.
