Illinois woman injured in Jefferson County crash

JEFFERSON COUNTY, MO – A woman from Illinois was injured following a collision on Saline Road Friday afternoon.

According to the official accident report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at about 12:45 p.m. near the intersection with Saline Rd. and Lakeview Drive.

Police say the 2009 moped driven by 64-year-old Marie-Bernadette Gean left the roadway and struck an embankment.

Gean was transported via ambulance to Mercy Hospital South to be treated for minor injuries.
