TROY, MO – A driver was injured yesterday when he rear-ended another vehicle at an intersection east of Troy, according to a report filed by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Police responded to a collision at the intersection of E Highway 47 and Sheffield Drive at 4:11 p.m. on Monday, May 3. They determined that the operator of a 2010 Harley-Davidson had been unable to stop in time to avoid a 2007 GMC Yukon that was stopped at the intersection, and was ejected from his motorcycle.
The motorcyclist was taken to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with serious injuries. He has been identified as 61-year-old Hawk Point resident Brent Morris.
