54-year-old driver seriously injured in Jefferson County crash

HOUSE SPRINGS, MO – A 54-year-old House Springs driver was seriously injured in a crash at Bear Creek Road and Gary Road on Wednesday afternoon.

Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 91-year-old Eugene Liss was attempting to turn left from a private drive in a 2011 Toyota RAV4. He pulled into the path of a 1997 Ford F-150 driven by Patricia Payne. The front of the Ford hit the front of the Toyota around 1:39 p.m.

Payne was transported to Mercy Hospital South.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts.

MSHP reports both vehicles were totaled.
