STE. GENEVIEVE, MO – A 42-year-old driver sustained moderate injuries in a northbound I-55 crash at mile marker 153 on Wednesday afternoon.
Clarine D. Daniels, of Fosteps, AL, was traveling north on I-55 in a 2012 Lincoln MKZ when the vehicle began to slide on ice, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol. The front of the Lincoln hit the back of a semi, driven by Emmanuel C. Gerord, around 4:35 p.m.
Daniels was transported to Ste. Genevieve County Memorial for moderate injuries.
Both Daniels and Gerord, of Indianola, MS, were wearing seat belts.
The Lincoln sustained extensive damages and the semi sustained moderate damages.
