Bridgeton woman injured in three-vehicle crash on I-270

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MO – A 50-year-old Bridgeton woman was injured in a three-vehicle crash on eastbound I-270 east of North Hanley Road on Sunday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, Hannah K. Beck, 20, was traveling on eastbound I-270 in a 2014 Buick Verano when she hit the rear of a 2010 GMC Arcadia. The impact caused the GMC to travel off the right side of the road and overturn. Beck, of Ferguson, continued on eastbound I-270 and hit the rear of a 2015 Dodge Charger, driven by 37-year-old Laron D. Jones. The Buick then struck the center median wall.

Beverly K. Akridge, the GMC driver, was transported to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for moderate injuries. She was not wearing a seat belt.

Both Beck and Jones, of Florissant, were wearing seat belts.

The GMC was totaled, the Buick sustained moderate damages, and the Dodge sustained minor damages.

Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
