Two people seriously injured in Jefferson County accident

FESTUS, MO – Two people sustained serious injuries after crashing at the intersection of US-67 and Meyer Road on Saturday night.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol, 26-year-old Ryan S. Bahr was traveling southbound on US-67 at Meyer Road when his 2015 Kia Forte traveled off the right side of the road. It struck a concrete barrier around 10:57 p.m.

It is unclear why Bahr traveled off the road.

Both Bahr and a passenger, 22-year-old Annie N. Chambers, sustained serious injuries. Bahr was transported to Mercy Hospital South and Chambers was transported to Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Neither Bahr nor Chambers were wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The Kia was totaled.
