Passenger ejected, injured in 3-vehicle crash on MO-364

ST. CHARLES, MO – One person was injured in a three-vehicle collision that took place southwest of St. Charles early Sunday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on westbound MO-364 at Upper Bottom Road shortly before 6:15 p.m. yesterday, when a 2018 Jeep Wrangler slowed due to traffic conditions.

The driver of a 2002 Ford Taurus lost control of his vehicle as the 2003 Ford Mustang that was driving in front of him slowed behind the Jeep. The Taurus ran off the side of the highway and then rear-ended the Jeep, causing the it to overturn onto its right side.

Luke Votaw, a passenger in the Jeep, was thrown from the vehicle. Emergency responders took him to Mercy Hospital St. Louis with moderate injuries. Votaw had been wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
