28-year-old woman seriously injured in Missouri 221 crash

IRONTON, MO – A 28-year-old female driver, an infant, and a 3-year-old were injured in a crash on southbound Missouri 221 on Tuesday morning.

Police report Caitlin Thomue was traveling southbound on Missouri 221 when she traveled off the right side of the road in her 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix, struck a tree, and the vehicle overturned.

Thomus sustained serious injuries in the crash and the two children sustained minor injuries. All three were transported to Parkland Health Center.

The Pontiac was totaled. It is unclear why Thomus traveled off the road.
