Union man injured in Franklin County collision

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO – A man from Union is recovering in the hospital after a collision on U.S. 50 Tuesday evening.

According to the official crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the collision was reported at about 4:23 p.m. along U.S. 50 near Missouri Route AJ.

Troopers at the scene believe 69-year-old Thomas Giery struck a 2017 Ford F-150 while attempting to make a turn on to the highway.

Giery was transported via ambulance to Mercy Hosptial Washington to be treated for minor injuries sustained in the crash.
